Relationships for Learning
This series of videos has captured the thinking and work that was shared with educators, Elders, and community partners from 44 different school boards who are actively involved in facilitating collaborative inquiries to support all students with a focus on Indigenous learners. The workshops offered this Fall were designed to support the needs of the group that were identified through the work of Dr. Susan Dion and her research team. The sessions were taped to provide others with an opportunity to learn from those who have been involved in Indigenous Focused Collaborative Inquiries.
Indigenous Education: From Cultural Events To Integration
This video asks participants to consider how the curriculum supports cross-curricular integration of Indigenous ways of knowing and being. They pose three important questions to consider when educators integrate indigenous perspectives in a good way. They encourage us to consider the importance and necessity of cultural events while taking educators further toward integration of indigenous ways of knowing and being in a relevant and meaningful way.
