Virtual Session: Making the Process of Pedagogical Documentation Come Alive
The Student Achievement Division is pleased to offer a recording of the virtual session to support K-3 educators in thinking through pedagogical documentation practices, with some focus on moving from pedagogical documentation to writing comments for the Kindergarten Communication of Learning.
This session is designed to support the implementation of The Kindergarten Program (2016) and Growing Success: The Kindergarten Addendum (2016) and foster connections across pedagogical approaches K-3.
This virtual session engages participants in a reflective, co-learning stance as they use a variety of samples of documentation and interactive dialogue to focus on:
· Using an inquiry stance and working theories (as educators) when analyzing children’s learning and next steps
· Documenting activities/narratives to leading with the learning
· Moving from ‘covering’ the Program/curriculum to ‘uncovering’ the learning in relation to the Program/ curriculum
· Moving from writing comments from an ‘achievement stance’ into a ‘growth stance’
